Dr. Sudhamalla Mallesh, currently working as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering. His qualifications are B.Tech.(ECE),M.Tech.(VLSI System Design) and Ph.D.(Satellite Image Processing using Deep Learning). He has 16years of teaching, research experience. His area of Specialization includes Signal, Image and Video Processing, Machine Learning, Embedded Systems and IoT. He has published more than 20 papers in reputed peer-reviewed Journals and International Conferences. He has 5 patents, Life time member of IETE, ISTE and Member of IEEE. He worked as convener for several Faculty Development Programs conducted by the department in association with premier institutes like IITs & NITS and worked as convener for several Conferences. He is a reviewer for several Springer journals like Signal, Image and Video Processing, Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, Pattern Analysis and Applications and IEEE Transactions etc. He has completed several NPTEL, Coursera certification courses Fundamentals of Image Processing, Data Mining, Fundamentals of Machine Learning etc. He has received best paper awards for his conference papers, awarded as best teacher and academic topper during his academics.
He has held roles like HOD, In charge for Industry Institute Interaction Cell in previously worked organization. He worked as Institute level JNTUH-TEQIP-III coordinator, JNTUH-MIS Officer. Worked as IQAC Coordinator and having experience in the preparation of NBA-SAR and NAAC-SSR. Under his guidance department Centers are executing various Activities like proposal writing for different funding agencies, research publication, Execution of students’ academic project in the Centers, conducting incubation and innovation activates and organizing Faculty development programs and Conferences on regular intervals.
