Dr. D. Maneiah is presently working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, CMR Technical Campus, (A Unit of CMR Group of Institutions) Hyderabad, Telangana. He acquired Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering) and Master’s degree (Industrial Engineering) from Sri Venkateswara University, Andhra Pradesh. He completed his Ph.D degree in the area of Friction stirwelding from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He has 18 years’ experience in teaching field and 5 years of Research experience. His major areas of research interests include Composite materials and structures, Optimization, and utilization of light-weight materials in structural applications. Dr. D. Maneiah has authored a book on Metal Forming Process for Durga Publishing House and co-authored a book titled “Development of Labyrinth Type Solar Thermal Energy Storage System”– ISBN number: 978-620-0-11406-8 in Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany. He has published 20 research papers in reputed international journals and presented 10 papers in International/National conferences. He has filed a Patent for his invention titled “Method involving drift correction of micromechanical gyroscope in augmented reality system on mobile object” via Application number: 201741042153 A.He has conducted many national events like Short term training programs and Faculty Development Programs, Conferences in the field of Mechanical engineering. He also a Fellow member in Institution of Engineers and a life member of various professional bodies including Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Indian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME).
HOD’s Message :
Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.
The department of Mechanical Engineering drawing upon its strength of highly qualified, well trained faculty, state of art infrastructure, innovative teaching methodology, regular student counseling sessions plays the role of a catalyst in sharpening the skills of an average student into a confident, highly employable engineer who keeps abreast of the latest and rapidly changing technological trends in the market. The department also provides facilities for students to learn soft skills and achieve holistic personality.
The department has a team of highly qualified capable, matured and dedicated faculty members. We intend to carve a name in the top echelons of the academic & professional world. Our objective is not to merely produce professionals capable to serve their own needs but endeavour to serve the society with great concern for human values.
