The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2009 starting from the inception of the college offering four years’ full-time Bachelors’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. The department of Mechanical Engineering functions with the prime goal of imparting sound mechanical engineering education, advance the understanding and application of mechanical engineering principles, enhance the development of the Nation, and improve the quality of life of society through teaching, research, and outreach programs.

PO3An ability to design Mechanical engineering components or processes that meet the specified needs considering safety and environment
PO4An ability to use research-based knowledge and research methods for the design of experiments,  analysis and interpretation of  data and synthesis of the information to obtain solutions to Mechanical engineering problems
PO5Ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations
PO6Ability to apply to reason informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice
