Mentoring Cell

• The Purpose of mentoring is to make the students to adapt the new environment and academic schedule, to understand the needs of curriculum, to develop healthy interpersonal relationship and also for personality development.
• Keeping the parents informed about the attendance and performance of their wards from time to time and guiding the students to choose right career paths for jobs, higher studies, entrepreneurship etc.,
• To motivate the students and develop confidence to take up challenging tasks in their lives and help the society in nation building.
• The mentors also try to identify the potential and interests of his mentees and guide them accordingly towards active participation in co-curricular, extra-curricular, at institute and university level activities.

Vision:

• To ensure that all students have the character, confidence and leadership skills to be successful in pursuing their dreams and to improve academic and professional performance of the students.

Mission:

• Be a mentor, enabling students to provide social, academic, emotional, moral and career support to reach their full potential through mentorship.

Objectives:

• To monitor the students regularity & discipline.
• To enable the parents to know about the performance & regularity of their wards.
• Improvement of teacher-student relationship.
• Counseling students for solving their problems and provide confidence to improve their quality of life.
• Guiding students to choose right career path for job, higher studies, Entrepreneurship, etc.

Outcomes:

• The attendance percentage of the students has to be increased to a greater extent.
• The number of detainment of students has decreased consistently.
• In course of direct communication between mentor and the student there was a good improvement in the teacher-student relationship.
• The above effected in attaining a better academic performance.
